The FAQ page that answers (and gets noticed by Google)
Answering your clients’ real questions removes their hesitation before buying, and can put you directly in Google’s answers.
Every hesitant client asks the same questions in their head: how much does it cost, how long does it take, do you come to me, what happens if I’m not satisfied. A frequently-asked-questions page, an FAQ, answers all of that in black and white. And the lovely bonus is that Google loves this kind of clear page, because it matches exactly how people search.
An FAQ removes the brakes on buying
A client with an unresolved doubt often doesn’t even write to you: they leave. A good FAQ defuses those doubts before they become a “no.” You answer once, cleanly, the question everyone’s asking, and you win back all those clients who would have quietly left. It’s honest selling: you remove obstacles instead of pushing.
Write the real questions, not made-up ones
The secret to a useful FAQ is to start from real questions. Open your emails, think back on your calls, listen to what people ask you in person. Those are the exact words you want on your page. Not puffed-up questions to make you look good, but the ones truly running through your client’s mind before they trust you.
- How much it costs, and how payment works.
- Which sectors or towns you serve.
- How long a project or a booking takes.
- What happens if the client changes their mind or isn’t satisfied.
Why Google loves FAQs so much
People increasingly search by asking Google real questions, almost as if talking to someone. A page that poses the question and gives the answer right below fits that way of searching perfectly. The result: Google can show your answer directly in its results, giving you visibility even before the person clicks.
Answer the question your client has in their head, and you’re also answering the one they typed into Google.
Keep it alive and honest
An FAQ isn’t set in stone. Every time a client asks a new question, add it. Bit by bit, your page becomes the best salesperson on your site: available day and night, patient, always up to date. Keep the tone simple and true, no vague answers to avoid committing, people feel it right away and it drives them off.
If you want us to build an FAQ page together from your clients’ real questions (well written, well structured for Google), write me. We’ll make the list together, and I’ll take care of shaping it properly.
