Build your first site with CJFG Studio in 20 minutes

You want a site for your business, but the idea of “diving into all that” tires you out in advance? Good news: with CJFG Studio, you can put together a presentable first version in about twenty minutes — no account, no credit card, no line of code. And at the end, you leave with your own code, hosted wherever you like. Here’s how.

Before you start

Have a few things handy to move faster: your business name, one sentence that sums up what you offer, and a few photos (your own always beat generic stock images). Open the Studio in your browser — it runs on desktop, not mobile — and off you go.

1. Pick a starting template

Rather than starting from a blank page, open the template gallery and pick the one closest to your field: restaurant, local shop, professional service, portfolio. Don’t chase perfection here — you’ll customize everything next. The template just gives you a solid structure and good proportions to build on.

2. Replace the content with yours

Double-click any text to edit it right on the page, like in a document. Change the title, the subtitle, your services. For images, click a photo and swap in your own — the Studio automatically optimizes it so it stays light and fast to load.

• Write the way you’d talk to a customer, not like a brochure.
• One clear message per section: who you are, what you offer, how to reach you.
• Don’t forget alt text on your images — it’s good for accessibility and for Google.

3. Add, move and reorganize blocks

On the left you have a library of blocks: hero, gallery, testimonials, contact form, pricing, and more. Drag them onto the page and drop them wherever you want. You can reorder, duplicate or delete them. Take two minutes to explore the style tab: colours, fonts and animations change with a click, for the whole site at once.

4. Check how it looks on mobile

Most of your visitors will arrive on their phone. Use the mobile preview at the top of the screen to make sure everything stays readable: titles not too long, buttons easy to tap, images well framed. The Studio handles the adaptation, but a quick look saves you nasty surprises.

5. Export your code

This is where the Studio stands apart from the rest: you’re not locked in with anyone. Click “Export” to download a ZIP file with the HTML, the CSS and your images — a real, complete site that’s yours. Before exporting, run the built-in check: it flags contrast problems, images without a description, or empty links.

6. Put your site online

Since your site is just a folder of files, you can host it for free on services like Netlify: you drag your folder into the window, and a few seconds later your site is live. Then you connect your domain name, and you’re done. (I’m preparing a dedicated tutorial for that step.)

The best website is the one that exists. Start simple, put it online, improve it later.
